I finally figured out how to work my DS
Browser. I`m blogging from my Nintendo
DS! We`re in the Phoenix airport. My mom
just heard the person at the desk tell
someone they couldn`t ride first class
because he was wearing a T-shirt! Amazing
how much of the world is based on
appearance...

Jacksons
A Jackson Chameleon is sort of a cross between a stegasauraus and a chameleon. They change colors. There are only two places in the whole world that Jacksons live naturally: Kenya, Africa and Maui. They're actually not native to Maui, but they were sent here from Kenya to use as pets and all thirty of them escaped. Now there's a population of Jacksons in Maui. On our last trip to Hawaii, I caught a big, green Jackson that I named "Jack". I have pictures and videos that I'll post once I figure out how... Today I found two small Jacksons, a boy and a girl, I think. I brought them back to the house and I'm keeping them in a cage with leaves and branches. They go in and out of the cage as they please. I think they like to climb on the outside. They're names are Ally and Mac. Mac is the bigger one, he's my brother's. Ally is mine. We have pictures of them climbing in my hair!
Orvillette
Today, we went kite-fihing with my Great-Uncle and saw a monk seal! She had tags on her and we were able to find her on the internet. If you Google "maui monk seal 126" and click on the first one you should be able to find an article. She's four years old. I dubbed her "Orvillette".

Yellow Submarine
Yesterday, we went on one of those tour boats that you can see the fish through underwater windows. It was cool! I won two shells because I could correctly pronounce the name of Hawaii's state fish, the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a. You try it!
Luau
The other night we went to a luau. (That's Hawaiin for "big party") We all got shell leis and my mom and aunt had plumerias in their hair. First, we sat at the table and were allowed to go to the bar and get drinks. (Soda, juice, it was kid-friendly) I got a Virgin Lavaflow. It's a pina-colada with strawberry mixed in. Next, we had dinner. There were BLUE Hawaiin Potatoes. They were good. I also had shredded pork, chicken, teriyaki steak, and a small salad. Then came the show. There were hula dancers and men wearing headresses and beautiful music and crazy costumes. One woman climbed a long white rope up to a tree. It lasted a long time, and when we got home, I was so tired that I fell asleep in my dress!

Iao Valley
Today, we went to Iao Valley and saw the big needle mountain. We went on a two hour hike with our guide, Nature Jay and his dog Ipo. We ate guavas and I got to put "natural conditioner" in my hair. You can see everything that I did at www.youtube.com/hawaiinaturecenter or www.youtube.com/ipodog

Maui
I'm in Maui! We got here two days ago. The house we're staying in is AMAZING! The outside is all koa wood and there's a big stone pillar that goes up through the three floors. The pillar has a few divets for art displays, three fireplaces, and a laundry chute. (I like to play with the laundry chute.) I'm going to post videos and pictures after we get back to the Mainland, I have to load them onto my computer. I'm learning a lot about Japan, because that's what most of the house is based on. There's a meditation garden and a table made so you can sit on the floor. My little cousin is so cute. He can talk now, and he knows how to count to twelve, the sounds of the alphabet, and a lot of colors. It's really cute that he can't say gr, so when he says green it's "geen" and when he says grill it's "gill".
